Dada’s Poetry Slam Team is the longest poetry competition in South Florida over 15 years at the same venue. It is also the only Slam competition in South Florida. Poetry Slam is performance poetry. Poet have 3 minutes to present their own original works what’s a 10 second grace period after the 10 second grace period points will be deducted they are judged on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the best poem you ever heard one not so good. Poet’s are judged from random members of the audience the audience members can not know the poet or have any relation to them in order to be a judge.
Judges we ask that you not be swayed by the audience and any excitement they may elicit.

Qualifications are you enjoy the art and like to have fun the best judge is a person who has never done it before. Dada’s Slam season is from August to April. Each month Dada’s allows three winners 1st 2nd and 3rd. All three will be placed in the finals which is held in May.
